Overview
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 2001 (also referred to as No Child Left Behind, NCLB) requires schools receiving Title I funds to demonstrate adequate yearly progress. Schools that do not meet progress goals for three consecutive years must offer Supplemental Educational Services to low-income children who choose to remain in those schools. Supplemental Educational Services are additional academic support beyond the school day in the subjects of reading and math.
The materials provide here are designed to give parents, providers and school districts necessary information to conduct and/or be a part of a successful Supplemental Educational Services program. If at any time you need more assistance contact Claude W. Christian at 502-564-3791.
