Approximately two years ago KDE began extracting At Risk data from the student information system, Infinite Campus, automatically. Per 702 KAR 3:270, Section 2 (h), the SEEK formula uses the prior year Average Daily Membership (ADM) of students identified with a school lunch code of 4103. The data is pulled annually on the last weekend of June each year to be used in SEEK in the upcoming year. Data extracted this year on June 28, 2011, will be used in FY 2011-12 SEEK calculations.
At Risk data is extracted based on active enrollment. A student must have an economic indicator of “4103-Free Lunch-Eligible” on the enrollment tab. For the convenience of the district the data is now available via IC and can be generated at anytime. This report is located in IC at: KY State Reporting<KDE Reports<At Risk ADM. Please take time to familiarize your district with this report and continue to monitor your data periodically.
If you have a question concerning At Risk, please contact Lori Davis, Systems Administration Branch, lori.davis@education.ky.gov or by phone (502) 564-5279 extension 4457.
