The Kentucky Department of Education provides technical assistance and support for district wide improvement planning. Please check our web page frequently for new information.
State and federal program MUNIS funding matrixes and other financial information are updated annually and posted on a web page linked from the main planning web page under the title: Comprehensive District Improvement Plan Funding and Finance.
DISTRICT PLANNING UPDATES:
Schools in Tier status that are required to do a peer review have certain guidelines to follow under Title I. These guidelines and a sample review process can be found on the District Planning Assistance-Title I link.
Districts will now decide their own planning cycles. Each district should review and update their district and school improvement planning policies to include a section related to the Annual Planning Cycle. The district improvement plan must be posted on the district website and updated at least annually, based on the district planning cycle.
There are no specific program requirements that must be included in improvement plans. MUNIS budgets by grant and location are no longer required to be posted to the district website.
District assurances, including a declaration of compliance, must be submitted via email by June 30 each year.
