IT Architecture Standards enable commonality and consistency within and across the Kentucky Education Technology Systems (KETS) functions and locations. They also drive down product cost where appropriate and simplify complex problems by identifying specific products, services, or processes known to produce the best results for the Kentucky Department of Education, local schools and districts.
The Office of Knowledge Information Data Systems (KIDS) works collaboratively with regional representatives on the Architectural Standards Committee to develop standards that benefit and compliment KETS initiatives. Standards approved by KIDS are developed solely for KDE and local school districts to support the KETS Network.
