KIRIS Report - Gender and Race Differences

Last Updated on Tuesday, January 08, 2008 at 5:03 AM

The attached documents include the latest information on the differences in performance by race and gender on KIRIS 1993 - 1998. This commissioned research project shows a small gap in student performance which Kentucky needs to address to be sure all students are offered the opportunity to learn at high levels. The first document is a memo from the Kentucky Department of Education senior leadership regarding the findings and our initiatives to assist schools in closing the gap and the second document is an abstract of the actual research project.
