School Bus Inspector Program

Last Updated on Wednesday, February 06, 2008 at 5:03 AM

This program is designed to improve the quality of the school bus inspection process by ensuring that all inspectors have sufficient background and training to successfully identify defects on Kentucky school buses.  All Kentucky school buses are required to have a detailed safety inspection monthly. Inspectors are required to undergo annual updates to keep their skill level current. This program has proven to be a springboard to oversee some of the safest buses in United States.
