(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- Kentucky Education Commissioner Gene Wilhoit will visit selected high schools over the next few weeks.
The visits are designed to give school staffs, students and administrators opportunities to discuss issues, activities and challenges with the commissioner. Many of the schools to be visited have shown marked progress in the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS), have low dropout rates or have implemented programs to meet their students' individual needs.
The first visit will be to Woodford County High School on Friday, March 14, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The commissioner will meet with teachers, tour the school, visit classrooms and meet with students and administrators.
Dates and times for the remaining visits have not yet been finalized, but will be announced soon.
