(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The release of data related to the federal No Child Left Behind Act's Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) component, originally scheduled for October 14, has been postponed.
That data, which will provide information about baselines and goals for AYP, will be released publicly on November 6 at noon EST. School districts will receive AYP information by October 31.
The postponement is necessary to enable the Kentucky Board of Education to provide clarification on data needed to make a final decision on the "other academic indicator" required for AYP calculations under No Child Left Behind. The board meets on October 8-9 and will discuss the issue at that time.
As noted in an earlier advisory, school districts will receive embargoed information about the 2003 administration of the Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT) later this week. That data is embargoed for public release until Tuesday, October 7 at noon EDT.
