(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- Beginning in early August, the Kentucky Department of Education will release data related to the federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act and the state Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS).
On Tuesday, August 3, information about schools' and districts' Adequate Yearly Progress status under NCLB will be publicly released at 2 p.m. EDT. This information is not embargoed and will be available on the department's Web site at that time.
On Monday, August 16, the nonacademic data component of CATS will be publicly released, with an embargo time of 12:01 a.m. EDT. Nonacademic data includes dropout, graduation, transition, attendance and successful transition to adult life information.
On Wednesday, October 13, the Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT) and the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) components of CATS will be publicly released, with an embargo time of 10 a.m. EDT. The department will host a news conference at 10 a.m. to discuss the results, which will include performance judgments and trend data.
