(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- Two Kentucky educators will get the surprise of a lifetime tomorrow, when Kentucky's Milken Family Foundation Educators will be notified.
On Thursday, October 14, Education Commissioner Gene Wilhoit will visit two Kentucky schools -- one in Russell Independent, the other in Johnson County.
CONFIDENTIALITY IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IN THIS VISIT. THE WINNER DOES NOT KNOW OF HIS/HER SELECTION. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT SCHOOL OR DISTRICT OFFICIALS OR ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF EDUCATION COMMISSIONER WILHOIT.
The itinerary for the visits is as follows: (all times are local)

MILKEN AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
Russell Primary School, Russell Independent
Students and teachers will gather for an assembly. Russell
Independent Superintendent Ronnie Back will introduce
guests, then Commissioner Wilhoit will make brief remarks
explaining the true reason for his visit, then present the award.
1 – 1:30 p.m.
MILKEN AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
Central Elementary, Johnson County
Students and teachers will gather for an assembly. Central
Elementary Principal Ben Hamilton will open the assembly,
then Johnson County Assistant Superintendent Zella Wells will
introduce guests. Commissioner Wilhoit will make brief
remarks explaining the true reason for his visit, then present
the award.
