News Advisory 05-009 -- February 21, 2005
(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The State Advisory Panel for Exceptional Children invites parents of children with disabilities, education leaders and professionals and other interested citizens to a public hearing scheduled for 10:15 a.m. to 11:45am. on Saturday, February 26, at the Clarion Hotel in Louisville.
The public hearing is a part of the State Advisory Panel’s February meeting, which also will be held at the Clarion Hotel. The primary purpose of the panel is to advise the Kentucky Department of Education's Division of Exceptional Children Services on issues concerning the education of children and youth with disabilities.
Participants are invited to express their views regarding any issues in the education of children and youth with educational disabilities during the public hearing. There also will be an opportunity for participants to meet panel members.
The Governor appoints panel members, and future meetings will be held in April, June and October of 2005.
