(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The P-16 Council will meet Wednesday, March 23, in the State Board Room of the Capital Plaza Tower in Frankfort.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. The primary agenda item is a roundtable discussion on redesigning high schools.
The P-16 Council is made up of representatives from the Kentucky Board of Education and the Commissioner of Education, the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education and the council president, the Education Professional Standards Board and other state agencies. Created in 1999, the P-16 Council advises the Kentucky Board of Education and the Council on Postsecondary Education on the education of teachers, the alignment of competency standards and the elimination of barriers impeding student transition from preschool through the baccalaureate.
