(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- The Kentucky Board of Education will hold its annual retreat Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 16, 17 and 18, at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Gilbertsville.
On Monday, the board will visit schools in the Marshall County, McCracken County and Paducah Independent school districts. Also on Monday, beginning at 6 p.m. local time, the board will host an open forum with superintendents and school staff from the area. The forum will be held in the Kentucky Dam Village Convention Center, Room C.
No business will be conducted during the retreat. The board will discuss upcoming issues, including the Request for Proposals for the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS), legislative factors and other items that will impact future board decisions.
