(FRANKFORT, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, September 21, the Kentucky Department of Education will release data related to the Commonwealth Accountability Testing System (CATS).
Data from the spring 2005 administration of the Kentucky Core Content Test (KCCT) and the Comprehensive Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) will be released. The information is embargoed until 12:01 a.m. EDT, meaning that media outlets may print or broadcast the information any time on or after September 21.
The data represent the first half of a two-year accountability cycle and will include district-, school- and state-level scores from the KCCT and CTBS, along with accountability indices.
The data will be available on the Department of Education's Web site in the early-morning hours of September 21.
In May, the department released nonacademic data (dropout, attendance, retention and successful transition to adult life rates), which, along with KCCT and CTBS scores, comprise school and district accountability indices.
