            (FRANKFORT, Ky.) – The Kentucky Board of Education will meet Wednesday and Thursday, October 4 and 5, at the offices of the Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA), located at 2280 Executive Drive in Lexington.

            On Wednesday, the board’s Audit Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. The board will meet in full session at 9:30 a.m. The board’s Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Committee and Management Committee will meet beginning at 3 p.m. On Thursday, the full board will meet at 1 p.m.

            Also on Thursday, the board will visit Fayette County’s Booker T. Washington Elementary to observe the primary and intermediate centers. The visit will begin at 8 a.m.

            Agenda items for this meeting include regulations related to the state assessment and accountability system and the board’s 2007 legislative agenda.
