College Board Advanced Placement (AP)*

Last Updated on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 5:01 AM

The advanced placement program is a cooperative educational endeavor between secondary schools and colleges and universities.

College Board AP courses provide avenues for motivated college-bound students to access challenging curricula and in many cases, even earn college credit while they are in high school.

College Board Advanced Placement (AP)*
AP gives students the chance to try college-level work in high school, and to gain valuable skills and study habits for college. For students who receive a  "qualifying" score on the AP exam, there are thousands of colleges worldwide that will give credit or advanced placement standing for these efforts.
