This page contains information about the Program of Studies for High School (Algebra 1 and Geometry) and high school graduation requirements, as well as the Core Content for Assessment at the 11th grade level.  Additional resources available include standards-based units and lessons, professional development opportunities (especially the Teachers' Professional Growth Fund) and professional organizations, the Marco Polo portal and its alignment to Kentucky standards, several KDE-produced resources for mathematics instruction, and information about mathematics instructional resources adoption for 2002-2003.  Several other areas are also referenced on the page.

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)
The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) Program was established in 1983 by The White House and is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The program identifies outstanding mathematics and science teachers, kindergarten through 12th grade, in each state and the four U.S. jurisdictions. These teachers will serve as models for their colleagues and will be leaders in the improvement of science and mathematics education.
