Kentucky Department of Education

For (potential) Volunteer Advisors

Last Updated on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:32 AM

Everyone has a role to play in the college/career readiness of Kentucky’s students. It’s not just the job of our schools. Community support is important too. Ensuring our students are college/career ready will benefit us all.

Community volunteers who care about students’ and Kentucky’s future are the heart of Operation Preparation.
Volunteer advisors can come from any walk of life:

• Business
• Government
• College or university
• Community service organizations
• PTA
• Workforce Investment Career Centers, among others

Parents and retirees are welcome too!

Volunteer advisors will be required to complete a 30-minute online training, sign a nondisclosure form and follow all school district policies and procedures.

Please contact your local middle or high school or school district office (you may access a list of schools by district below) to verify that they are participating in Operation Preparation and let them know you’d like to help. OR fill out an Operation Preparation volunteer form (found below) and turn it in to the school at which you would like to volunteer.
