The I Am Your Child Foundation is a national, non-profit, non-partisan organization that was founded in 1997 by actor/director Rob Reiner to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and school readiness. IAYC develops a wide variety of resources for parents, early childhood professionals, child advocates, health care providers, policymakers and the media. National Head Start Association
The National Head Start Association (NHSA) is a private not-for profit membership organization representing more than 900,000 children, 190,000 staff and 2,500 Head Start programs in America. It is governed by a 49-member Board of Directors composed of a director, staff, parent and friend representative from each of the twelve federal regions and the immediate past president. NHSA provides a national forum for the continued enhancement of Head Start services for children prenatal through age five and their families. It is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to the concerns of the Head Start community.

Early Math Standards: State of New York at Buffalo
Increasing numbers of children attend early care and education programs. Several states are instituting universal preschool education. The Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet, offers The ArtsStart! Grant, which can place professional artists in Kentucky early childhod and preschool facilities for 20 or 40 sessions to demonstrate their art form and share their creativity with children, directors and staff.
