The third STLP Spring Championship will be at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Ky, May 6-7, 2008.
There is no fee to attend. Schools must cover expenses for meals and optional over night stay. Parents, grandparents and other school staff are welcome to help chaperone.
All STLP Schools are encouraged to attend and compete in an area of technology. All competition areas must be preregistered.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where can people eat?
There is a food court in the same building as the competitions. The food court in the Lexington Convention Center will close at 6:00 PM.
There will be concession stands open with some eating tables nearby.
2. Why should our STLP be at the new May event?
To learn, network and share.
3. When does the event begin and end?
The doors will open for school groups at 11:00 AM. Schools from across the state need to arrive by noon and can depart Wednesday after the awards. The events are set for later each day to enable schools nearby to attend. The day runs long in the day to enable maximum learning experiences.
4. What about parking?
Parking is near and around the convention center.
Buses will park off Cox Street, the large lower area on the side of Rupp Arena. Access car and bus parking by dropping students in the front drop off of the convention center on Vine Street. Follow Vine onto the next right onto Broadway, then turn right and High Street. Pass the hotel entrance, pass Rupp and turn right onto Jefferson, left onto Manchester (street before going over bridge), a right onto Cox Street and a right into the very large parking lot. (You are going around the building.) .
Cars may park in the nearby parking lots. There is a fee for hotel parking.
5. What if the school only wants to attend one day? Schools can attend any or the entire event. The first day is for learning, the second is the day of celebration.
6. How should I decide which students should attend this event?
ONLY students that are interested in learning and have a project, product or service to be judged should attend. Also, anyone who has registered to enter one of the many category live competitions.
Students that want to roam around and not be in a learning session or a competition category are asked to stay at school.
7. What kinds of learning sessions will take place?
Students that have a specialized interest should be able to find a way to compete and to learn.
All competitions are grouped by grade level: elementary, middle and high.
