Transition into Summer with Verizon’s Thinkfinity.org!

We are gearing up to train 1,000 Teachers in 1,000 Minutes during June…and we’d like to count you in!

Verizon Thinkfinity is offering FREE one-hour Educator Webinars every Monday through Friday from June 1 through June 26, plus 2 Saturday sessions on June 6 and June 20.

These hands-on, interactive sessions will introduce the thousands of no-cost resources available for 21st century teaching and learning at www.thinkfinity.org. Certificates for one hour of professional development credit are available. Sign up now!

What is Thinkfinity Kentucky?
Thinkfinity Kentucky is a partnership with Verizon Foundation and the Kentucky Department of Education. The goal of the program is to raise awareness and train teachers throughout the state to use the thousands of free educational resources available on Thinkfinity.org. The intent of the resources is to help meet the instructional needs of teachers through top notch content and effective professional development.

What is Thinkfinity?
Thinkfinity is a partnership between the Verizon Foundation and leading educational organizations. Our objective is to provide the highest quality content and professional development to K-12 teachers and students throughout the United States.

Thinkfinity draws upon the strength of highly respected Content Partners, who produce a wealth of discipline-specific, standards-based educational resources. The partners include:

ARTSEDGE focuses on The Arts with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

 

EconEdLink provides content in Economics in concert with the National Council for Economic Education.

 

EDSITEment is presented by the National Endowment for the Humanities. EDSITEment focuses on The Humanities.

 

Illuminations provides standards-based Mathematics resources developed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

 

Thinkfinity Literacy Network delivers free, top-quality online educational resources for literacy instruction and lifelong learning

 

Developed by the International Reading Association and The National Council of Teachers of English, ReadWriteThink provides resources and best practices for educators in both reading and language arts subject areas.

 

Science NetLinks offers Science content in partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

 

Designed and developed by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian's History Explorer is your gateway to innovative, standards-based online resources for teaching and learning American history including artifacts, primary sources, and online tools for the classroom, afterschool programs, and home.

 

Xpeditions explores Geography in partnership with the National Geographic Society.
