Thinkfinity's professional development program trains teachers on how to integrate technology and content into the classroom. The flexible training model reaches its audience through onsite training, web conferencing, online courses, and detailed training materials - both hard copy and online. To date, Thinkfinity's scalable training model has recorded over 205,000 teachers trained nationwide and has been aligned to ISTE's National Education Technology Standards.
Kentucky continues to shine as a leading state in the implementation of Thinkfinity Standard Based Internet Content for the Classroom. To date we have conducted over 7, 000 Kentucky Thinkfinity professional Development opportunities. This program is designed to help KY reach its goal of every school in our Commonwealth utilizing the wealth of resources provided by the Thinkfinity Foundation.
The Thinkfinity Professional Development program is designed to:
· Meet educators' needs for high quality professional development that guides teachers through the vast network of resources on the Internet
· Provide teachers with the tools and materials necessary to effectively use Web-based content to benefit themselves and their students
· Help educators work with their peers to create useful lesson plans, activities and research exercises
· Leverage a scalable training model to train the largest number of teachers and produce the greatest educational impact
