Accountability for health and physical education content is the Practical Living portion of the Program Review. The Practical Living Program Review characteristics promote evidence based best practices that include: Coordinated School Health Committees, CDC’s Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool and CDC’s Physical Education Curriculum Analysis Tool. The Network’s aim is helping schools improve their implementation to proficient and distinguished level characteristics.
The vision for the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (PGES) is to have every student taught by an effective teacher. Through PGES , all Kentucky teachers will have a local contribution to their Overall Student Growth Rating based on their Student Growth Goal.
Additionally, the embedded professional learning within the network will align with the evidence based practices and resources that are available to all teachers through the Continuous Instructional Information Technology System (CIITS). The CIITS database will assist schools in improving their accountability rating in the state’s accountability system.
