Core Content for Assessment version 4.1- represents the subset of Kentucky Core Academic Standards (KCAS) content that will be included on the state assessment (K-PREP) for Science and Social Studies. This content is designed for use with, not instead of, Kentucky's Core Academic Standards.

​(Note: K-PREP assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics will be based on KCAS; Science and Social Studies at the high school will be based on KCAS and assessed via QualityCore® end-of-course assessments and the ACT; Practical Living/Career Studies and Arts & Humanities will be assessed through the Program Review process).
