Even Start Family Literacy program has ended. The program provided intensive family literacy services that integrated learning activities for parents and children, helping parents to become active partners in their children's education, and children to achieve a high level of success in school and life.
Even Start Guidance document is designed to assist States and local programs in understanding, administering, and implementing the Even Start program.
Building a Strong Foundation for School Success includes the following: Kentucky Early Childhood Standards which describes what children should know and be able to do; the Kentucky Early Childhood Continuous Assessment Guide which outlines how to appropriately measure a childs progress on the Early Childhood Standards; the Kentucky Early Childhood Quality Self-Study a tool to provide direction for program improvement, and; the Parent Guides to the Early Childhood Standards provide a vehicle to help parents understand what the Early Childhood Standards are, what the Early Childhood Standards mean to them and their child(ren), and what they can do to support the healthy growth and development of their child(ren).
