Collaborative Center for Literacy Development (CCLD)
The Collaborative Center for Literacy Development: Early Childhood through Adulthood (CCLD)
is a partnership among each of the eight state universities and the
National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL)
, in cooperation with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE),
Kentucky Adult Education (KYAE)
, and others interested in literacy development.
Doing What Works
is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. The DWW site helps educators identify and make use of effective teaching practices. The site includes tools materials, practices and interventions that are supported by rigorous research.
National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL)
is recognized nationally and internationally as the leader in family literacy. The intergenerational approach pioneered by NCFL has received critical acclaim and has helped hundreds of thousands of families start on a path to success.
The
National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)
is a federal organization that shares information about literacy and supports the development of high-quality literacy services so all Americans can develop essential basic skills.
The
National Head Start Association (NHSA)
is a private not-for profit membership organization representing more than 900,000 children, 190,000 staff and 2,500 Head Start programs in America.
National Reading Panel (NRP)
Web site is updated regularly with information about NRP publications and materials, as well as upcoming speaking engagements by Panel members. This site is also an archive, featuring the congressional charge to the NRP, biographies of NRP members, meeting minutes, and other historical information.
