Tech Tip 87 - Sticky Notes in Win 7
5/21/2013 10:16 PM
Post-it Notes are a staple in many offices. Windows 7 offers similar functionality with a neat utility called “Sticky Notes.” Sticky notes make it possible to quickly jot down a number or take a memo without having to shuffle through papers or trying to find a pen. You also can format or edit the note at any time.
To access sticky notes on your Windows 7 machine, open the Windows start menu and type “sticky notes” in the search.
From here you have multiple options for managing the info and the sticky note:
To open a new note, click the “+” symbol at the top left.
To change the color of the note, right click anywhere in the body and choose the color desired.
To close the note, click the “x” in the top right.
To move the note around your desktop, left click along the top and drag it where needed.
Those with tablet PC’s can use the pen stylus to input information as well. To learn more or see all the functionality of sticky notes, please click here.
