When using the traditional toolbar, everyday commands seemed to be right where they should be. Now they are spread out across tabs in strange locations that only make sense to the person who put them there.
To solve the game of hide and go seek, create a custom tab on the Ribbon with the tasks used most frequently:
1. Right click on any Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon.
2. On the Customize Ribbon and Keyboard Shortcuts screen, click New Tab.
3. Choose from the commands in the box on the left and click Add.
Once you have added all of the commands you use regularly, click OK. Now there is a custom tab that works for you.
