STLP - Championship Awards 2012

On March 22, 2012, the seventh annual Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) State Championship was held in Rupp Arena and the Lexington Convention Center.
 
 
Over 6,000 gathered for the event.
 
Over 300 schools from more than 94 school districts registered P-12 students.  Students from across the state showed what they knew and could do with technology in Arts, STEM, and many marketable career skills by participating in forty-two different STLP learning categories.
 
The event empowered students to use technology to problem solve, create content and to learn and achieve.  At the event thousands  of adults supported the 21st Century Learning as chaperones, mentors, and judges.

Elaine Harrison Lane received the first annual Lydia Wells Sledge MVP Award from David Couch, Associate Commissioner of Education. The late Lydia Wells Sledge was instrumental in establishing STLP and helped create the foundation for education technology across Kentuckys school districts.
