Administrative Section Supervisor

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Administration & Support (OAS), Division of School and Community Nutrition (SCN), Child and Adult Care Branch, Review Section in Frankfort (Franklin County) has an opening for an Administrative Section Supervisor.


Provide direct supervision over all staff of the Reviews Section for a Child Nutrition Program.
Participate in the design, coordination and implementation of all documents pertaining to monitoring reviews and review schedules.  Participate in monitoring reviews during each review cycle.

Develop, prepare and recommend policies, procedures and publications pertinent to the section's activities.

Evaluate employee performance and counsels employees on work-related problems.

Responsible for the preparation, review, accuracy and maintenance of all section records.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must be a graduate of a college or university and must have four years of professional administrative experience.  


A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.  Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System.

Pay Grade:  15
Gross Monthly Salary Range: $3230.84 - $4280.10 
Please be advised per 101 KAR 2:034 and KDE’s internal policy concerning the salary of newly appointed state employees, the salary range that KDE will review and consider for this position prior to offering the position to the candidate is ($3230.84 - $3392.40).  This salary range for this classification for newly appointed state employees is non-negotiable.
