Provide administrative assistance to SCN staff to improve program efficiency and allow program consultants the opportunity to better serve sponsors in technical assistance and program review completion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
Provide administrative assistance to SCN staff to improve program efficiency and allow program consultants the opportunity to better serve sponsors in technical assistance and program review completion.
 
Refers to inquiries from new and existing sponsors to the appropriate branches (National School Lunch, Child and Adult Care Food Program and Summer Food Service Program) of the Division of School and Community Nutrition staff in regards to the interpretation of National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) regulations, policies and procedures.
 
Assists SCN staff with the monitoring of application/agreements and claims submission for more than 900 CACFP, NSLP and SFSP sponsors. Refers help desk support to SCN staffs to ensure proper application and claims submission.
 
Conducts CNIPS User ID setup and password resets.
 
Corresponds with program sponsors through the updating and maintaining for sponsor contact information, the distribution of product recalls and outreach materials to CACFP, NSLP and SFSP sponsors.
 
Serves as a backup with the maintaining of both paper and electronic filing system for CACFP, NSLP and SFSP sponsors including distribution and access for SCN program consultants and other staff.
 
Provides administrative support to the Support Branch Manager and staff.
 
Perform other duties as required.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Applicants must be a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree and, must have one year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
 
SUBSTITUTION CLAUSE:
 
Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.  Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Pay Grade:  10  
Gross Monthly Salary Range:  $2006.08 - $2657.70 
 
Please be advised per 101 KAR 2:034 and KDE’s internal policy concerning the salary of newly appointed state employees, the salary that KDE will offer for this position to the selected candidate is $2006.08. This salary range for this classification for newly appointed state employees is non-negotiable.
