KBE-KDE Education Academic Program Manager (Data Analyst)

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Next - Generation Learners (ONGL), in Frankfort (Franklin County) has an opening for a KBE/KDE Education Academic Program Manager to serve as a data analyst.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Under the general direction of a division director, provides consultative services, technical assistance and direction to KDE, particularly the school readiness branch personnel, and to external partners including the governor’s office of early childhood and regional training centers regarding data related to the implementation of the Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge grant. 
Serve as a KDE liaison for Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge (RTT ELC) grant work related to kindergarten readiness data.
 
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure effective data collection and analysis of BRIGANCE K Screen data.
 
Ensure RTT ELC project timelines, activities and deliverables related to K Screen data are implemented on time.
 
Identify K Screen data collection and report implementation risks and resolves issues.
 
Develop method to ensure validity and reliability of data related to K Screen and other readiness data.
 
Disaggregate and analyze School Readiness Branch data and develop recommendation to improve school readiness rates.
 
Ensure valid K Screen data is published on time for public review on KDE and partner website.
 
Present finding at state, regional and national conferences.
 
Support technical assistance and professional learning related to K Screen data and other School Readiness Branch data needs.
 
Perform other duties a required.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 
Applicants must be a graduate of a college or university with a Master’s degree in education or a related field and have six years of professional experience in the field of education.
 
SUBSITUTION CLAUSE: 
 
Current Rank II or Rank I certification by the Education Professional Standards Board will substitute for the required educational requirement.
 
Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System.
The salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with education and experience of the successful candidate.
