The most notable individual characteristic found to be a significant predictor of dropping out whether or not a student has an IEP/Learning Disability or Emotional Disturbance. Researchers have found that students with learning disabilities are three times more likely and those identified as seriously emotionally disturbed are five times more likely to drop out.
