, KDE has developed a set of assurances that will be monitored through ASSIST
Adoption of the Emergency Operation Plan (Emergency Management Plan) by the school council must occur prior to completing assurances in ASSIST. All schools shall submit the KDE School Safety Report assigned in ASSIST by October 1. (This is now a stand-alone diagnostic no longer included in the CSIP.)
Districts should then send superintendent verification of compliance to the law by all schools within the district to the Kentucky Department of Education by November 1 of each school year. This submission will occur by answering the KDE District Safety Report assigned in ASSIST by November 1.
