During the 2012 - 2013 school year, 54 volunteer districts participated in a full year extended field test. The goal of the field test was to experience full implementation of the Professional Growth and Effectiveness System (PGES). Districts determined capacity as they implemented the multiple measures of teacher and leader effectiveness.
Data was collected throughout the year to further inform system efficiency and policy considerations. The recommended changes were reviewed by the teacher steering committee and further refined for the PGES state wide pilot in 2013-2014.
