The Troops to Teachers (TTT) Program is managed by the Department of Defense for the purpose of assisting military members and veterans in the process of becoming full time teachers.

The minimum requirement to participate for counseling and referral is honorable military service for those still serving and an honorable discharge for veterans. Military and medical retirees are fully eligible for the program. For eligibility criteria click here www.ttt.ky.gov.  Fully qualified military members can earn up to $10,000 in stipend and bonus money by agreeing to teach in a high need school for three years.  Most schools in the Commonwealth of Kentucky are classified as high need.  The National TTT office located in Pensacola, Florida is solely responsible for making all decisions regarding stipend and/or bonus incentives.
