Teachers must be connected to the students they teach through a course in order to correctly link Student Growth Percentiles (SGPs) to the teacher that has impacted their learning. AdditIonally, correctly scheduling students in courses will allow the teacher to view the student's academic and demographic information in the Continuous Instructional Improvement Technology System (CIITS).
The connection of student data to the correct teacher is essential in order to use student growth as a measure of teacher effectiveness as required by the Elementary and SecondaRy Education Act, No Child Left Behind Waiver (ESEA, NCLB). Ultimately, strong teacher student data links (TSDL) will be created to inform instruction, inform and increase educator effectiveness and support the continuous improvement of teacher and learning.

Process and Timeline
Rosters will be created in Infinite Campus through the school's established scheduling process at the beginning of the school year. To ensure accurate teacher student data links, use the standard procedures for scheduling outlined in the videos and documents to the right (in the blue quick links box).
All teachers who teach reading and math in grades 4-8 will have a median Student Growth Percentile score calculated. The median score will be used to determine low, expected or high growth. This median score will be used as a part of of the teacher's summative evaluation. All teachers should verify their rosters for accuracy within the first five days of school. This process should be repeated quarterly throughout the year to maintain accurate rosters. Click here for step by step directions to verify your rosters in CIITS.
