"Articulation" is a term used for insuring that schools at secondary and post-secondary  levels work together to assist students in progressing smoothly from secondary to post-secondary programs.  Defined as "a process for linking of two or more educational systems within a community to help students make a smooth transition from one level to another without experiencing delays, duplication of courses, or loss of credit."
