Manufacturing TRACK

Published: 1/15/2019 12:10 PM
The Manufacturing TRACK program creates post-secondary opportunities statewide with manufacturing employers who offer Registered Apprenticeship programs. The employer will work with the local or regional secondary technical center to design their pre-apprenticeship program. The pathway must offer minimum of 4 courses, of which the employer chooses, from the manufacturing offerings at the school. One course must be a cooperative education placement. The employer also selects the students for the program and can base their criteria on grades, attendance, interviews, etc.

The employer determines if the student successfully completes the TRACK program. If so, the student will receive a pre-apprenticeship industry certificate and credit for prior learning and on-the-job hours from the co-op toward their post-secondary Registered Apprenticeship program.
