Guiding Coalition

Published: 5/22/2019 9:01 AM

Purpose: The purpose of the Guiding Coalition is to share KDE's vision, be aware of efforts within KDE to improve K-12 education, advise the commissioner of education on issues or events external to KDE that may impact our ability to achieve our goals and provide a united front that will support all of our agencies in doing what is best for Kentucky children.

Membership: The Guiding Coalition is comprised of approximately 25 leaders across Kentucky from K-12 education, postsecondary education and workforce. Each member is able to contribute crucial, diverse perspectives on education, which will guide KDE's strategic work.

Meeting Frequency: The coalition meets quarterly in Frankfort, KY.
