Waiver Requests
Please note that Kentucky has requested the following waivers from USDA. As the waivers are approved additional Sponsor Resources will be provided to support sponsor and/or state use of the waivers, until then the waivers are not to be utilized.
 
KY SFSP - waiver request OVS Non-SFA sponsors option
Request to waive the requirement that Offer vs. Serve be restricted to School Food Authority sponsors in the SFSP and instead allow non-SFA sponsors to utilize offer vs. serve for meals as well. 
 
KY SFSP - first week visit requirement for CACFP At-Risk and Centers
Request to waive the requirement to conduct a first week site visit for CACFP At-Risk sponsors in good standing.

KY SFSP - first week visit for School Food Authorities in Good Standing
Request to waive the requirement to conduct a first week site visit for School Food Authorities in good standing in the NSLP and SBP.

KY SFSP - income application eligibility requirement closed enrolled
Request to waive the requirement to collect and qualify household income applications for closed enrolled sites in needy areas and instead allow area eligibility to qualify such sites.

KY SFSP - site monitoring requirements for returning
Request to waive the requirement that sponsors conduct a first week site visit for sites that operated successfully the previous year.

KY SFSP - waiver of meal time restrictions
Request to waive the requirement that three hours must lapse between the beginning of one meal service, including snacks, and the beginning of another meal service, except that four hours must elapse between lunch and supper if no snack is served. Additionally, a waiver for the requirement that the duration of the meal service shall be limited to two hours for lunch or supper and one hour for all other meals.
