in Frankfort (Franklin County) has an opening for a MOA Education Vocational
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the content expert for Kentucky's Manufacturing Technology Education Program.
Areas of study include:
Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Computerized manufacturing and Machining
Area of responsibility will include coordination with manufacturing related businesses, industry organizations and post-secondary education partners to offer rigorous content to students in preparation for career ready status in manufacturing occupations.
Provide consultative service planning, development, and implementation of a statewide program to local school districts and KY Technical System personnel and classroom teachers in implementing Manufacturing Programs, including program specific curriculum.
Establish partnerships with professional organizations, agencies/institutions, and business/industry to support Manufacturing Programs in the implementation of curriculum and industry certifications based on industry standards.
Plan, coordinate and/or conduct professional learning and training for Manufacturing Program teachers, such as conferences and workshops.
Support activities of the SkillsUSA Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) and support integration of competitive events into course content.
Serve on integrated teams and/or workgroups as assigned to implement initiatives and strategic priorities of the Office of Career and Technical Education and Kentucky Department of Education.
Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be a graduate of a college or university with a master's degree in education or a related field and must have five years of professional experience in the education field: Agriculture, Business Education, Marketing Education, Industrial Education, Home Economics Education, or Health Occupations.SUBSTITUTION CLAUSE:
Additional professional experience in the field of education will substitute for the required educational requirement on a year for-year basis.Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.Applicants currently under contract with a local school district are required to provide a written release from their superintendent prior to an offer of employment will be given. In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.NOTE:
This position will be filled through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The applicant selected for this position must be an employee of a Kentucky local school district or institution of higher education. Employment contract will be in effect through the end of the current fiscal year (Up to a Maximum of 200 Days), which is through June 30, 2021, and is renewable on a year-by-year basis for up to a maximum of three years.
