State Supplemental CTE Funds
2024 House Bill 499 made changes to the funding allocation process for state supplemental career and technical education (CTE) grant funds (formerly LAVEC funding). Sixty percent (60%) of a district's allocation will be based upon student enrollment and forty percent (40%) will be based on performance incentives. CTE programs must maintain eligibility for federal Perkins funding in order to receive state supplemental CTE funds. Middle school career studies should provide opportunities for career exploration, build self-awareness, learn about potential careers and develop a plan to reach future goals. These resources will support implementation of the Kentucky Academic Standards for Career Studies at the middle school level.
The material in this guide is designed to aid school administrators, teachers, boards of education, advisory committees and architects who share responsibility in the planning and equipping of a facility for career and technical education programs. This guide may be used in the construction of new facilities and/or the remodeling of existing facilities.
Schools and courses must use these codes for the upcoming school year. It is important to utilize the codes correctly to meet federal and state reporting requirements.

document explains the regulation and processes related to Occupation-Based
Kentucky Teacher Certification with the Education Professional Standards Board
(EPSB).
This form is used by teachers when applying for occupation-based one-year/five-year renewals and for occupation-based rank changes. This form is NOT available in the Kentucky Educator
Credentialing System (KECS). A completed and signed paper copy must be
sent to the Office of Career and Technical Education’s Certification
Officer/Administrative Program Consultant to start the certification process.

The Tech Ready Apprentices for Careers in Kentucky (TRACK) youth pre-apprenticeship program is a partnership between the Kentucky Department of Education Office of Career and Technical Education and the Kentucky Labor Cabinet to provide secondary students with career pathway opportunities into Registered Apprenticeship programs.
