Association for Childhood Education International
ACEI is an organization of teachers, parents, and other adults interested in promoting best educational practices for children from infancy through early adolescence.​
 
Collaborative for Teaching & Learning
The Collaborative for Teaching and Learning is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to helping schools and other organizations meet the needs of all learners-children and adults.

The Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership, sponsored by the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence, brings together parents and others, giving them training, information, and experiences to enable them to work with teachers and other parents to raise student achievement in their home communities.
 
Council of Chief State School Officers
The Council of Chief State School Officers is a nationwide, nonprofit organization composed of public officials who lead the departments responsible for elementary and secondary education in the states, the US extra-state jurisdiction, the District of Columbia, and the Department of Defense Education Activity.  In representing the chief education officers, CCSSO works on behalf of the state agencies that serve pre K-12 students throughout the nation.
 
East Kentucky Science Center​
The East Kentucky Science Center is a private, non-profit education organization devoted to providing science learning opportunities to students, teachers, and the East Kentucky community.
 
Education Commission of the States (ECS)
Bringing education leaders together from across the aisle and across states, these gatherings provide opportunities to interact, learn and collaborate.

Family Resource & Youth Services Centers (FRYSC)
These school based Centers  work to enhance students' abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote: early learning and successful transition into school, academic achievement and well-being and graduation and transition into adult life. Each Center has a unique blend of program components depending on location, available resources, local need and community input. The goal of the FRYSCs is to meet the needs of all children and their families who reside in the community or neighborhood served by the school in which the center is located.

International Bluegrass Music Museum
The MISSION of the International Bluegrass Music Museum is to develop and maintain an environment in which people of all ages can discover the richness of bluegrass music through an exciting and educational experience. The museum offers opportunities to see, touch, hear and explore our rich bluegrass music heritage.
 
Kentucky Association for Academic Competition (KAAC)
Sponsor of the Governor's Cup Competition and other academic events.
 
Kentucky Association for Gifted Education
The Kentucky Association for Gifted Education (KAGE) is a non-profit volunteer group of parents, teachers, administrators, other educators, and all citizens interested in being advocates for appropriate educational opportunities for gifted and talented youth in Kentucky. 
 
Kentucky Association of School Administrators
KASA, founded in 1969, is the unified professional organization for more than 2,500 educational leaders across Kentucky.  KASA's mission is to draw upon the strength of school leaders' diversity to best serve the needs of Kentucky's children and school administrators by continuous improvement of education through professional development of strong leaders, advocacy for the welfare of children, and effective participation in shaping education policy.  
 
Kentucky Association of School Councils (KASC)
The Kentucky Association of School Councils is a non-profit membership organization formed in 1992 to help school councils make decisions that ensure student achievement at higher levels by educating, supporting, and providing services to the parents, teachers, and principals of member schools.
 
Kentucky Center for Instructional Discipline (KYCID)
KYCID is a positive, proactive and instructional approach to school-wide behavior support.
 
Kentucky Center for School Safety
Kentucky has taken a major step to address the issue of school safety. With the passage of House Bill 300 in the 1998 General Assembly, an opportunity was established to create safe, secure learning environments where all children can successfully achieve.  
 
Kentucky Center for the Arts​
Kentucky Center for the Arts works in partnership with KDE to provide professional development for teachers through Arts Academies held across the state in June of each year.

KYCEC works to promote the welfare and education of exceptional children, the handicapped and the gifted.  We are affiliated with the international organization of the Council for Exceptional Children. We serve as a medium in the Commonwealth of Kentucky so that interested individuals may better understand the problems of exceptionality; work to improve the facilities for and education of exceptional children; and stimulate interest, study and research relative to all problems pertinent to the education and welfare of exceptional children.

Kentucky Council of Teachers of English/Language Arts
The Kentucky Council of Teachers of English/Language Arts is a non-profit, service organization for Kentucky English and Language Arts teachers of all levels (Kindergarten-Graduate School).

Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics (KCTM)
The Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics, a National Council of Teachers of Mathematics affiliate, provides support and professional development for teachers of mathematics students from kindergarten and beyond. 

Kentucky Education Association
KEA is a voluntary membership organization for school employees, the vast majority of whom are public school teachers. KEA has members among school administrators, Workforce Development Cabinet teachers, college students preparing to become teachers, and retired educators.
 
Kentucky Education Cooperatives
Kentucky has a host of educational cooperatives that provide assistance and expertise for the benefit of their member school districts. The cooperatives provide comprehensive educational services and programs that support the member districts and their schools in their school improvement efforts. Member districts also work through the cooperatives to maximize their purchasing power, thereby improving their fiscal efficiency.
 
Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children​
The Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children (KECSAC) is committed to the belief that all children can learn and have a right to quality education. KECSAC protects and assures this right by accessing resources and providing support to programs that educate State Agency Children.
 
Kentucky Educational Television (KET)
Kentucky Educational Television signed on the air in September 1968 as Kentucky's statewide public broadcasting network. Today, KET is the largest PBS member network in America. Our 16 transmitters and four translators deliver both the PBS national schedule and our own wide range of local arts, cultural, documentary, and public affairs productions to viewers throughout Kentucky and in parts of seven surrounding states.
 
Kentucky Geographic Alliance
The mission of the Kentucky Geographic Alliance is to establish a network of all those interested in geographic education and to serve as a conduit through which ideas, concepts, information, and materials can be disseminated throughout the Commonwealth.
 
Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program​
The Governor's Scholars Program is a stimulating, five-week, residential summer program for outstanding Kentucky students completing their junior year in high school. Established in 1983, the popular program provides academic and personal growth in a challenging, non-traditional experience that balances a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience.   

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) is a public corporation and governmental agency and instrumentality of the Commonwealth established in 1966 to improve students' access to higher education. To that end, KHEAA administers several financial aid programs and disseminates information about higher education opportunities.  
 
Kentucky High School Athletic Association
Welcome to the Home Page of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
 

The division provides administrative support, technical assistance and training to local school-based Family Resource​ and Youth Services Centers (FRYSC). The primary goal of these centers is to remove non-academic barriers to learning as a means to enhance student academic success​

 
Kentucky Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
PTA began in 1897 as the National Congress of Mothers, a group of mothers concerned with the education, health, and safety of children and youth. . .the same concerns the PTA has 100 years later. The oldest PTA in Kentucky is Phyllis Wheatley Elementary, organized in 1899. PTA is the largest volunteer organization in the United States with one purpose--to serve children, their families, and their school communities. There are six million PTA members in the nation and over 150,000 PTA members in Kentucky.  
 
Kentucky Reading Association
The Kentucky Reading Association is a professional organization of educators and individuals actively engaged in the development of literacy throughout the Commonwealth. We are committed to encouraging lifelong reading for pleasure and learning, providing information related to literacy, increasing opportunities for professional growth, and promoting research-based instructional practices.  
 
Kentucky School Boards Association
The Kentucky School Boards Association provides advocacy, consultation, information, professional development and district support services for local school board members as well as district and school staff.  Established in 1936, KSBA is a private, nonprofit service organization composed of almost 900 members of local boards of education. As such, KSBA is the largest organization of elected officials in Kentucky.  
 
Kentucky Association of School Librarians
The Kentucky School Media Association is the professional organization of all Kentucky School Library Media Specialists, a state affiliate of the Kentucky Library Association and a national affiliate of the American Association of School Librarians
 
Kentucky School Public Relations Association (KYSPRA)
As the authority and voice for school public relations in the Commonwealth, KYSPRA will  meet the professional development needs of its members and  advocate the employment of public relations practitioners in all Kentucky school districts.  
 
Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System
Established by law in 1938, KTRS legally known as "Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Kentucky" became operational on July 1, 1940. KTRS is classified as an "actuarial reserve, joint-contributory" system, meaning that contributions of the members and employers and the earnings from KTRS investments are placed in reserve to pay for the System's annuity obligation.    
 
Kentucky Virtual Library​
Preparing students, faculty and staff of Kentucky's educational institutions and the citizens of the Commonwealth to be full participants in today's information-based global economy and in the life-long learning process by providing services to develop information literacy.  
 
Kentucky Virtual University
Kentucky Virtual University (KYVU), the state's official virtual campus, opened its doors to students in the fall of 1999. Since that time, KYVU has offered one-stop access to affordable college credit courses and professional development programs offered online from colleges, universities and other institutions.
 
Kentucky World Language Association
The Kentucky World Language Association is a network of individuals who support, promote and advocate the teaching and learning of a variety of world languages and cultures, a clearinghouse for data, information and research relevant to effective programs and practices in the learning and teaching of world languages and cultures, and a provider of professional development for P-16+ teachers of world languages and cultures.  The KWLA annual conference takes place in the fall of each year.
 
Kentucky Science Center
Kentucky Science Center is proud to be a resource for Educators throughout the Commonwealth and surrounding regions..
 
National Assessment of Educational Progress
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), also known as "the Nation's Report Card," is the only nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas. Since 1969, assessments have been conducted periodically in reading, mathematics, science, writing, U.S. history, civics, geography, and the arts.  

National Association of State Boards of Education
The National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) is a non-profit association that represents state and territorial boards of education. Our principal objectives include strengthening state leadership in educational policymaking; promoting excellence in the education of all students; advocating equality of access to educational opportunity; and assuring continued citizen support for public education.
 
National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education (NCPIE)
At NCPIE, our mission is simple: to advocate the involvement of parents and families in their children's education, and to foster relationships between home, school, and community to enhance the education of all our nation's young people.
 
National PTA
National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children.

Partnership for Successful Schools​
The Partnership set out in 1991 to make the dream of education improvement in Kentucky a reality through the successful implementation of the Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). That task having been accomplished, now the Partnership is an organization of Kentucky business leaders dedicated to the continuous improvement of Kentucky schools.
 
At the center of Kentucky’s efforts to revitalize, support and maintain public education have been the citizens who make up the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. With ongoing initiatives like the Commonweatlth Institute for Parent Leadership, Strong Start Kentucky and ReadyKentucky, the Prichard Committee is truly a citizen-directed and Kentucky-focused partner.
 
Southern Association of Colleges & Schools
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits about half of the public elementary and secondary schools in Kentucky.
