Growth Factor Reports

The Growth Factor Report is submitted to KDE prior to November 1 of each school year. Attendance information reported on Growth Factor for the first two (2) school months includes:

  • aggregate days attendance and absences

  • race and gender counts 

  • adjustments for partial day students

  • nonresident and no-contract students

  • over-age and under-age students

January Growth Factor Submission

The January Growth Factor Report is optional. If a school district submits the January Growth Factor, it is due to KDE five days after the last day of the school month chosen with the most attendance days in January of the current school year, but not later than February 20 of each school year.
