Public School Students & Staff Microsoft Program Offerings:

  • Microsoft Office 365 Education – Students and employees of Kentucky public school districts, the Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB), the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) or the Kentucky Department of Education whose districts/departments have an active Office 365 environment and a Microsoft Licensing Agreement that contains appropriate Office licensing have access to Office 365 with up to 5 downloads on their personal devices at no cost to the individual. To qualify individuals must be a current student or employee of a Kentucky public school district, the Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB), the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) or the Kentucky Department of Education. Please contact your District/School/Department’s service desk for questions/assistance with Office 365 Education. 

  • Microsoft Home Use Program – Kentucky public school districts who have an active Microsoft EES or Microsoft Select Plus Agreement that contain appropriate Office licensing are eligible to participate in Microsoft Home Use Program (HUP). This program enables employees of the qualifying district to purchase and use a licensed copy Microsoft Office Professional Plus or Office Home and Business for Mac on a home computer at a discounted price. To qualify for the Microsoft Home Use program you must be a current employee of a Kentucky public school district, the Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB), the Kentucky School for the Deaf (KSD) or the Kentucky Department of Education. Qualified individuals must use their district or KDE email address to validate their eligibility through the Home Use Program (HUP) website with Microsoft. Please contact your district's software administrator for the program code needed to validate your purchase. You may access the Home U​se Program website​. Software licenses purchased through the Home Use Program expire with the employer’s software assurance coverage or should the user leave the public school district/Department.
