The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career and Technical Education, Estill County Area Technology in Irvine, KY has an opening for an Information Technology Instructor.
The Estill County Area Technology Center is looking for an experienced, diligent, dedicated person to help students in Estill County and surrounding counties reach their career goal in Information Technology. This position is extremely rewarding as you see students in grades 9-12 further their education and complete their career path.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;
ORMust hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;
ORFour years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.
Special Requirements:Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (A+ CERT, NCCER, ABC, AGC,). Applicant can be hired without the required personal instructor certification but must acquire the certification needed at the next available testing period.
In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System.
