The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, Barren County Area Technology Center in Glasgow, Kentucky has an opening for a Welding Instructor.​

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program.

Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;

OR

Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;

OR

Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (NCCER,ABC, AGC etc).

Applicant can be hired without the required personal instructor certification, but must acquire the certification needed at the next available testing period.

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System.

Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.

Salary: Dependent upon qualifications, training, and experience.
