āThe Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Career & Technical Education, Corbin County Area Technology Center in Corbin, Kentucky has an opening for a Maintenance Worker II.
This position is essential to operations, as it handles the cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of our area of the center. If you are ambitious, pay attention to detail, and willing to work as a team member this may be the job for you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out janitorial duties to maintain the building, including but not limited to classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other adjacent areas.
Perform maintenance duties throughout the center.
Make carpentry repairs to the building and equipment.
Paint surfaces and operate machinery and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must have one year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, or mechanical maintenance experience.
SUBSTITUTION:
EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
Must be 18 years of age.
