The Redbook was revised during FY2013. The 2013 Edition is scheduled to become effective on July 1, 2013; however, it is not yet fully approved. The 2013 Edition is marked "DRAFT" and should be used only in a draft capacity.
The Redbook Frequently Asked Questions document pertains to the 2013 Edition of the Redbook which is still DRAFT.
The Kentucky Department of Education has produced four Redbook 2013 Edition videos and a document outlining the significant changes in the 2013 Edition of the Redbook entitled “Significant Redbook Changes 2013”. The department strongly encourages districts to utilize the Redbook videos as free Redbook training tools that may be reviewed by school and district personnel and members of booster organizations at their convenience.
